Tom Tamarkin and Bud Bromley June 20, 2024 A common misconception propagated by the media and alternative energy companies today is that man contributes to the increasing concentration of carbon dioxide (CO2) in the atmosphere. This is simply not true. Atmospheric CO2 concentration is controlled by fundamental laws of physics and chemistry. Man could increase his current release of carbon dioxide from the burning of natural gas and fossil fuels by a factor of ten and the net total amount of CO2 in the atmosphere would be roughly the same as it is today.
