UN flies in 5,000 people to Salt Lake to complain about fossil fuels

From CFACT By CFACT |August 27th, 2019|Environment How does the United Nations convince people that they are super serious in their outrage about fossil fuels? How about flying 4,000 people from all over the world in fossil-fueled jet airplanes to isolated Salt Lake City to whine about it? Sounds like a good plan to the United Nations bureaucracy, which is sponsoring a sustainability and climate change conference this week in Salt Lake City. The UN brags that up to 4,000 people are likely to attend, representing more 300 nongovernmental organizations (read, environmental activist groups) and more than 80 countries. There …

Has Nature Communications committed reckless endangerment?

By Christopher Monckton of Brenchley | August 28, 2019 Here is an update on the case against Nature Communications and against the soi-disant “University” of California at Merced and various of its denizens in respect of a lamentable purported “study” that is in reality an unveiled personal attack on climate skeptics. The following letter, sent by me today (28 August 2019), shows that we are not only considering prosecution for fraud but also for reckless endangerment (U.S. criminal code), incitement to violence and breach of the peace (Justices of the Peace Act 1361, s. 1). I shall also be pursuing …

RICO Racketeering Probe Beckons after Michael Mann’s Court Defeat

Principia Scientific Published on August 26, 2019 Written by John O’Sullivan   Michael Mann’s defeat in the Supreme Court of British Columbia in the ‘science trial of the century’ may be about to have criminal repercussions south of the border in the United States. As the dust settles after that astonishing Dismissal last Friday of Mann’s libel suit versus Tim Ball, legal analysts foresee a deeper crisis brewing for Penn State bad boy, Mann and other government-funded co-conspirators. Critics are again recalling the parallels with that other infamous crime committed at Penn State University – the Jerry Sandusky child sex …

Penn State or the State Pen?

Principia Scientific Published on August 23, 2019 Written by John O’Sullivan Supreme Court of British Columbia dismisses Dr Michael Mann’s defamation lawsuit versus Canadian skeptic climatologist, Dr Tim Ball. Full legal costs are awarded to Dr Ball, the defendant in the case. The Canadian court issued it’s final ruling in favor of the Dismissal motion that was filed in May 2019 by Dr Tim Ball’s libel lawyers. The plaintiff Mann’s “hockey stick” graph, first published in 1998, was featured prominently in the U.N. 2001 climate report. The graph showed an “unprecedented” spike in global average temperature in the 20th Century …

Bernie Sanders Demands Nationalization of US Energy Production to Fight Climate Change

WUWT by Eric Worrall | August 24, 2019 h/t Howard Cork Hayden; According to Bernie Sanders, Nationalization of US energy production will give the government the control it needs to implement the Green New Deal. Bernie Sanders indicates climate plan will require nationalization of US energy production By Sam Dorman | Fox News The “Green New Deal” proposed by Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., seeks a complete transition to “energy efficiency” and “sustainable energy” — much of which would be owned and administered by the federal government. During an appearance on MSNBC Thursday night, Sanders told host Chris Hayes that the U.S. needed an “aggressive” federal approach to producing electricity and nodded after Hayes claimed …

Petitioning Against Climate Alarmism Goes Global

Newsmax Larry Bell | 19 August 2019 A petition being submitted by hundreds of independent climate scientists and professionals from numerous countries to heads of the European Council, Commission and Parliament declares “There is No Climate Emergency.” Briefly summarized, the request for consideration conveys five urgent messages: Climate change is real and has been occurring with nature-driven cold and warm cycles for as long as the planet has existed. There should be no surprise that the Earth has been warming through natural causes since the last Little Ice Age ended around 1870. Actual temperature increases, however, are far less than …

Los Angeles County Plan: NO GAS STATIONS IN COUNTY—Seriously!!!

California Political Review August 8, 2019 By Stephen Frank A County that can take away your gas station is a county that takes away your freedom.  If the Planners for the County could implement their plan, L.A. County would be the first county in the nation without PRIVATE transportation, other than a bike or feet.  Think business could survive in that climate?  Does the County even care?  How many jobs will be lost immediately, how many businesses would be forced to close or move.  Think you could like in Santa Monica and work in Pasadena, using government transportation—taking hours to …

Israeli Astrophysicist rejects UN IPCC – Finds ‘the sun completely overturns the way we should see global warming’

Climate Depot Nov. 9, 2017 Award-winning Astrophysicist Dr. Shaviv is in Germany with many other skeptical scientists during the UN climate summit. Shaviv is warning about the scientific fallacies presented by the UN IPCC panel about global warming climate change. His full presentation at the conference is on November 10th.  Dr. Nir Shaviv on Cambridge Debate: ‘I was quite shocked to see how the audience was so one sided (though far less than the ridiculous 97:3 ratio we hear about!) and unwilling to listen to scientific arguments.’ Dr. Shaviv’s Key scientific points: ‘Evidence for warming is not evidence for warming by humans.’ …

Electric Vehicles in Germany Emit More Carbon Dioxide Than Diesel Vehicles

Institute for Energy Research June 10, 2019 A study by the IFO think tank in Munich found that electric vehicles in Germany emit 11 percent to 28 percent more carbon dioxide than their diesel counterparts. The study considered the production of batteries as well as the German electricity mix in making this determination. Germany spent thousands of euros on electric car subsidies per vehicle to put a million electric vehicles on the road, but those subsidies have done nothing to reach the country’s greenhouse gas emission targets. This is just the latest example of government programs expecting one outcome and …
